Meetings held every other Wednesday night at 8pm in The Nagle Centre.To get involved just come along to a meeting where various first aid related exercises are carried out. Previous experience is not required. Once a member is trained up they can look forward to taking part in a wide range of sporting, musical and cultural activities such as: horse racing, music festivals etc.

Cadet unit for 10 to 16 year olds every Friday evening at The Nagle Centre.

Cashel Choral & Dramatic Society was founded in 1935 and has over 80 years of superb productions to its credit. Over the last decade they have staged such varying productions as I’ll Get My Man, Blood Brothers, Factory Girls, Knocknagow, The Class of 77, See How They Run, Bookworms, No Dinner For Sinners, Same Old Moon and, most recently, Ladies In Retirement. Plays are generally staged at the end of November every year in the beautiful theatre at Bru Boru. New members aged over 18 – both onstage and backstage – are always welcome!

Vital community supports for the people of Cashel and the surrounding areas are provided by the wonderful volunteers and workers of Cashel and District Social Services.

From tasty, hot meals to personal security alarms for the elderly, the work of this group goes on quietly every day but can make a huge difference in the lives of people that they help.

Cashel and District Social Services Ltd was established in 1971 when a small group of people initiated a Meals on Wheels service for a few elderly people in the town.

The local branch of the St. Vincent de Paul Society made their house in John Street available free of charge to the C&DSS. This house has been the C&DSS centre since that date.

The C&DSS is administered by a committee of volunteers who provide many services to the people of the town and the surrounding areas.

Cashel Lions Club is a proud member of the world-wide Lions Club network serving the community of Cashel and surrounding districts such as Dualla, Ballinure, Rosegreen, Golden, Knockavilla, Dundrum and Boherlahan in a variety of ways.

We have an annual programme of local activities and events such as the “Senior Citizens Party”, the “Cashel Person of the Year Award” and the “Corby Bursary”. We also undertake events as part of the global Lions Club network such as the “Young Ambassador of the 21st Century Award”, the “Third World Fast”, “Operation Christmas Child”, and the “Peace Poster Competition”. For the last two years the Cashel recipient of the “Young Ambassador of the 21st Century Award” has won the regional final, and represented the club at the national final in Dublin.
